Mostly cheerful when putting on his face for the children's show that he is a part of, there are sprinklings of his very sullen self. This can be seen when that sullenness slips in when he gives the children on the show lessons on the dark side of adulthood as well as corporate life in the entertainment business. Despite his cynicism about life, however--Uramichi does care about the children, and even if it works himself ragged he tries to not shatter their images of he and the cast in their entirety.
